I'm doing a rewatch rn, and I never noticed before that the trap he set for the rabbit was pretty much how Terminus operated. Of course we didn't really find out what really went on in terminus until the next season, but seeing this episode now makes it seem so much clearer.
They literally funnel them into where they want, and in the end they become the food. just like that rabbit
