So I'm finishing up season 5 of The Walking Dead and weirdly enough I still find myself tied to the scene at the end of s5 ep 10 'Them' when the storm hits while they're in the barn. When the barn doors threaten to open from the zombies and the wind and the rain and they all pile against it to keep it closed and keep the danger out. I think it embodied the entirety of what the show is about without them even saying a word. It's strange to say but it made me tear up because the group had just lost so much in such a short period of time and they were all weak and dehydrated and recovering from miles of walking and then they were up and using every ounce of strength they have to keep the doors close. In my mind no one was protecting themselves from the elements; they were all doing it for everyone else, playing their part in keeping the group together.
Let me know what your favourite 'uplifting' scenes are from the show! I would love to hear and see what lies ahead. I'm only on season 5 but I don't care about spoilers as I lived through the Tumblr days of The Walking Dead and have heard just about everything!
