Iām rewatching The Walking Dead, after having not seen it for some time, so forgive me if this is somehow explained later down the line in the show.
During the episode āMiles Outā Rick decides where to drop off the boy whoās leg was stuck on the gate. Before they enter the yard where they plan to release him, Rick cuts a finger on his left hand and rubs the blood on the gate to attract a walker and stabs him, he tells Shane to do the same to the other walker. A few minutes later Rick and Shane get into a scuffle and at the end, Shane throws a wrench at Rick which goes through a window and lets some walkers out. Rick grabs the first walker that comes out by the neck with his left hand, the one he cut. Now since walkers can turn you by simply scratching you, wouldnāt you also want to avoid rubbing any open wound against a walkers flesh, and by that logic, Rick shouldāve turned into a walker.
Iām just going by the scratch logic here, thereās nothing special about a nail scratching you that couldnāt also be accomplished by rubbing an open wound against an infected, or was this just a slight oversight on the shows part?
