So a big question on everyone's mind is, where the hell is Michonne? Nobody knows. A theory I see around a lot is that she's become the Whisperer leader... but I can't say I'm completely on board with that, if at all. It just doesn't seem plausible, not that what I'm about to suggest is but it's a cool thought and I haven't seen it around so I hope I'm not regurgitating someone else's theory! Just a theory a friend of mine had and I thought it was pretty awesome and thought I'd share it with you guys.

So, going ALL the way back now to... I think it first happened in V. 12? It's when Rick and Co. first move into the ASZ. Michonne mentions wanting to, and even tries to hang up her sword. She grows tired of the zombie killing and hopes for something better. I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure this has been brought up on more than one occasion since then.

This is where the cover of issue #139 comes into play.

So what if Michonne is on that boat? "But why would Michonne be on some random boat?!" you ask.

What if she has become an explorer of the 'new' world, or the ruins of the world they knew? Lots of people I've seen mention that they think Rick and Michonne had a falling out, but does it have to be something so serious that she's become the leader of a skin wearing cult? Could it not just be her desire to go on an adventure and the disagreement is Ricks concern for her safety (Maybe Eziekel is with her, he seems like the type of guy that this could peak his interest and has maybe left the Kingdom in the hands of somebody else since he was never really meant to be a leader?), to experience something I think it's fair to say a lot of people probably aren't doing and getting away from her routine zombie killing after the war and during a time of peace? I think it would be neat to have her come back and tell stories about lands now long forgotten and abandoned. It's not like you'd be encountering that many threats on the water. and you wouldn't be sailing across the ocean maybe just along the coast?

Anyways, just thought I'd share! And come on, who wouldn't want to see a swash buckling Michonne?
