There was a critical contradiction in the walking deads lore.

so, I've always understood that everyone was already infected... that spores came down and what not. Theyve said numerous times that bites dont 'turn' people... its actually that there's fevers and bacteriums and what not. that they dont turn but actually just die and the spore takes over.... right?!?

however, episode 9, TS-19....
it contradicts this in showing us a live body that becomes spore infected, we are shown the infection spreading, and then the body turns. suggesting they ARENT already infected. Right?!?
