There seems to be a strong disconnect between the economy stats being bragged about and what Americans are feeling. I did live a better life in 2019 and made significantly less money…not giving credit to Trump on that or blaming Biden now but it’s crazy to think about that when I made 50k less! My studio apt back then was 1100 and I checked to see that same apt is 1560 in 2024 🤯 Everything is just so dang expensive I can’t get ahead like I want to. Just random things outside of rent, groceries, gas, and travel I’ve noticed like haircuts and dog daycare have skyrocketed 50% more than what I payed 4 years ago. Idk, I just feel like saying “the stock market is doing well” and “unemployment is low” is not working. Are the jobs people in paying the bills? Are they working multiple jobs to make ends mee which is driving those numbers? Feel like there has to be better messaging than the stats because it’s not resonating for a reason.
