Advice on how to handle the position

So back when elf reported their earnings and initial their buyback, I saw nothing wrong with the stock and went on selling a put. Then in the next few weeks stock is dropping like a rock.
Rolling one year out with same strike price only gives me additional 1000 dollars. What would you do?
