I'm pleasantly surprised how much I'm enjoying the Surge 2 starting it right after I finished the Fromsoft games; the combat is addictive.
Post Body

I was trying to find something to quench my Bloodbourne and DS3 itch. The first 2 souls games are too slow for me so I considered the souls like games and heard pretty good things about The Surge 2.

From a lot of reviews I expected something pretty OK and often a clone of another game series is usually missing what makes the original good.

But I'm legit surprised but how much I'm loving the combat and level design. It's so fast paced and fluid, it's great. And the level design so far had been really good as well.

Like the endlessly satisfying finishing moves or how the controller feedback is used to make every hit feel impactful (it's surprising how little games utilize this but it works great in S2).

It gave me exactly what I wanted, kind of a like a sci fi bloodbourne.

May just become my 3rd favorite souls type game, after BB and DS3.
