Does the type of CC (Maxis Match or Alpha) affect the gameplay?

I've been using a low-spec laptop to play Sims 4. I want to know if Maxis Match custom contents on Sims 4 will cause the game to be less laggy, compared to Alpha CCs? Thanks in advance for the answers! Stay safe, my fellow Simmers!
