So, lemme start this by saying that I've played the Sims since 2009 (when I was around 10). I played 2, 3, and 4. I played TS4 from 2014 up until this year. After University was announced, I was so excited. But then I found out that I had to get a better graphics card and get more RAM memory just for a piece of DLC. Then, they came out with the update that older computers got the entire game layout changed. I think it was called the legacy update. I did some math, and it turns out that I as a consumer have paid over $1100 CAD on TS4 in the 6-7 years I played it. That means I've paid over a thousand dollars for a game company that used to care, but now gives no effs. I wasted that money because lord knows I can't even play the game. The legacy update made it even slower on my PC. I really started to dislike them, however, when I realized how money hungry they are. Yeah, I get that companies need money, that's how the economy works. But what I don't get is how they can sell Cats And Dogs but then come out with My First Pet - which had items that should have been in CaD from the very beginning. Or, another example, is them releasing so many dang pieces of DLC. One thing that bothers me but doesn't seem to bother anyone else is that in TS3, laundry came with Ambitions and/or University. Now, you have to buy DLC to be able to do a task that most people don't even like to do. Eco Living looks like it should've been part of Island Living. All in all, I HATE how money hungry the Sims Team has become. I went from loving this game to hating it. Am I the only one?
