I can't log into my sims 3 account in game, help?

After the whole TS4 Legacy update thing came out, I decided I'd play with TS3 instead because it's (to me) the superior of the series. However! I've logged into my account through the launcher, and was looking forward to playing with DLC towns that I've got, when I saw that my game wasn't allowing me to log in or even registering that I had logged in. It says that I need to update my game to log in, but on my launcher, it says that I don't have any updates/patches to put in.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix it? TIA.
