Iāve seen more and more talk of project Rene online lately, wether it be the suspected cancellation, or due to the dissatisfaction of Sims 4, and am just wondering what your thoughts and or concerns are based on what we already know. (yes I know the cancellations are just a rumor and at this point unfounded)
I personally do not believe Project Rene is going to branded as sims 5. I think itās going to be a āsims likeā experience, but being online, mobile and cross platform also very different.
I also think that since it will be free to play from the jump that microtransactions will be the name of the game and will have the most base version of the game we have seen yet. They catalogue will probably be extensive but we will certainly be paying for it.
Mod support is another topic that comes to mind. With the game being online and cross platform I can not see how any CC or mods will be supported. This being the major reason I donāt believe it will be marketed as Sims 5. This community has a huge mod and CC creator base and I donāt think they will be included in the next generation.
Just some of my thoughts. Would love to hear yours!
