In general, sure, but this kid clearly has something wrong with him. It's not normal for a child to talk to an adult in this way and assume that they have power over the adult, especially a teacher.
There is clearly something wrong with this kid, and I don't think it's insulting, or inappropriate to label him as special needs. He clearly does have special needs.
and I'm sure
You obviously don't have kids in school. It's unreal what schools and teachers have to put up with these days compared to 20-30 years ago. My daughter is in 3rd grade, and the stuff she tells me every day about the boys in her class that have full on meltdowns, break Chromebooks, or other kids property, and the teacher can't even "Send them to the principals office" because that would make them feel "singled out."
We met with my daughter's teacher recently for PTI, and I asked about this and all he could say was "please write the principal of the school - this stuff helps, they need to hear it. I'm powerless and can't do much of anything."
I should mention that my daughter goes to a 10/10 school in the city we live in. It's absolutely mind blowing.

If it turned out that they didn't? Did we watch the same video? He clearly has special needs. He doesn't understand how to act in a school environment and thinks that he's special or more important than the other people there. He's delusional and lacking in the intelligence he should have for that age.
