Hey all! This post is mostly for therapists out there that I could get some career advice from. I'm a psychology student right now with the intent of getting a BA and then a masters in counseling. The plan is the work in a treatment center during the day and have my own practice at night. I have this crazy idea of providing extremely cheap therapy for those that have no insurance. Is that a thing I could do in my own practice? Therapy would be a second income so I'm more inclined to charge cheap fees for people who don't have insurance to cover services. Are there guidelines that will prevent me from doing that? Or can I charge whatever I want in my own practice? Help!
