Relying too much on therapy?

I am currently going through a really difficult period and started seeing a therapist weekly about 3 weeks ago. They are away from work next week so won't be able to see me and I can feel myself becoming slightly stressed and panicked about if I can go 2 weeks without speaking to them. So is it possible to be too reliant on your therapist? And if so, what are some small ways to improve that?
