I’ve been going to therapy for 4.5 years now, and been on meds as long. I have journals from that time and mood tracker apps that show it hasn’t done much to help. Other than get me out of my psychotic state at the beginning, it did nothing for my trauma or depression/anxiety. I truthfully don’t see how talking about a problem can make it go away. I feel angry when we just do talk therapy.
Recently I called the crisis lines and was complaining about how all the meds and therapy weren’t working and they suggested that I try something else. What else, you ask? They didn’t know.
So I turn to you, reddit. What helped you get out of your worst depression besides therapy, meds, and daily meditation (which I already do)?
