Around two weeks ago, I went into a severe spiralling episode that was brought on by a mix of short and long term factors. I pushed people away that did know what was best for me and rejected therapy/medication, you name it.
I think after a nadir of a Monday before a uni exam, I resolved myself to try and make myself better, to try and not just waste myself as a person. I went and found a therapist, managed to book a session for Tuesday and have gone from there.
It really does help, even though I still have issues that I’m working on (it’s only been a short period of time), and I will never be free of some issues such as autism. I know that I’m on the first step to recovery.
So please, when someone that knows you fairly well tells you to go to therapy or to find help. Do it, for your sake as much as anyone’s.
