I have found it SO difficult to get in with a therapist of my own. I am feeling so burned out (CMH) and really need my own therapist for my mental health. My work insurance covers MH services 100% thankfully, but every provider I've contacted from my insurance's website or Psychology Today (that says they are accepting new patients or even that they have "rapid access" appts guaranteed within 5 days) never returns my calls or emails. I've been looking for months with not a single response. Do therapists just not keep those updated to indicate whether they're accepting new patients, or do insurances just list that without checking with y'all? I know we're all busy, but it feels unprofessional to just never return calls or emails, even if just to let me know you're actually not accepting new clients. Feeling empathy for my clients in how difficult it can be to access MH services sometimes. 😔
