I remember an old parable about a guardsmen at a city gate.
In ancient times there was a city that was an economic hub across lands. At the entrance stood a guardsmen who was almost as tall and wide as the gate. A very imposing figure.
As travelers made their way to the city, they would first have to stop at the gates before being allowed passage.
The guardsmen would ask travelers their purpose for visiting but he would ask them about the city they departed from.
How was your stay in the last city?
The first traveler complained about the food. He talked endlessly about how bland it was. How there was no variety and that he's had better elsewhere.
The guard only frowned and said "then you will find that here" and let pass.
The second traveler complained of the people. He spoke of how unkind and impolite they were. He said he couldnt make a single friend.
The guard only frowned and said "then you will find that here".
The third traveler spoke of the scenery. He found much beauty in the city. There were great restaurants and the people were friendly.
The guard only smiled and said "then you will find that here".
I probably butchered the story but the point is where ever you go, you have to try to see the best of it and make the best of it. If you're only focused on what's wrong (like the women in your home country) odds are you will likely find the same where ever you go.
