Howdy!
Long story short I have been interested in internationalization since I was 16 (things did not seem good even back then). I had some setbacks, but I am am working on residency outside the US and after that plan to buy a place outside the US with my wife (who is from outside the US).
The problem I see is pre-2020, you could throw a dart on the map and almost anywhere seemed better than the US. However, post 2020 the options seemed to whittle down. I think the idea of being diversified rings even more true today. Having residency one place, citizenship in another, a business in another, and so on makes solid sense. The problem I see is for where you have citizenship/lay your head. It seems like many countries don't believe in bodily autonomy and it is easier to build wealth in the US. That does not fully dissuade me from leaving eventually, but I am still skeptical about a lot of countries post 2020. How have the last few years shaped your planning?
