I've seen several people asking about where to find information on how to do beekeeping. I figured I might as well list all of the informative sources I have managed to find.
Hexflower a pretty page which shows you which bees you need to cross to get a new strain. This page is slightly outdated. As far as I can tell only some of the mineral bees (copper, iron, tin) have new names. Hexflower has been offline for quite some time now. There is a mirror below
FTB forum The first link he posts includes a description of bee effects and which products you can get from which bees and their combs. It is incomplete but the information is mostly true.
Minecraft forums This is the first page I used when I started beekeeping. It is more text than diagrams. A bunch of the extrabees information is incomplete.
invention gaming What do all those new frames do which extrabees has added? This about sums it up.
Forestry wiki Contains a lot of information on older bees.
Extrabees official forum thread This is a good source! It has information on all of the extra bee machines and it comes straight from the mod author.
Let me know if you have any other resources which may be useful for people who are doing bees.
edit: There is now a mirror for hexflower. http://sadris.s3.amazonaws.com/bees/index.html
edit: A series on youtube on bees by Florastar. thanks to Elertai.
edit: keyboardwhore made a nice spreadsheet with some of the latest bee info in google docs
edit: sunny-daze has a WIP bee breeding guide He is also working on a master apiarist database
edit: Plornt made this awesome animated bee website which helps visualize breeding trees. He also posted his html code in case his website crashes. I guess for any extended amount of time.
Recent change which hasn't been updated in any guides yet. Stone bees are only attainable by breeding rocky bees with diligent bees.
