One day, when I am old and grey, and the Mountain Goats have ceased their earthly activities while inhabiting their mortal flesh, I will assemble a book.

It will be a book of art and words. It will be a poetry compendium of everything written by John Darnielle. It will contain beautiful tour posters and the lyrics of every song.

One day I will do this, as tribute, as penance. I will do this ritualistically and with gravity unlike any other project I've undertaken. John deserves it, to be held dearly forever as a poet, the Bard of Durham, NC.
