Considering occult means hidden, I think negativity could arise from certain occult topics becoming mainstream. Naming this area of research “occult” was in a way a subconscious warning that not everyone should have this information. One of the biggest issues I’ve noticed is people thinking they understand certain occult topics when they don’t. You must have supreme logic if you want to become an occultist. Without logic you risk becoming a constant spewer of Magickal misinformation like most of the people on this sub. They are people who prioritize confidence over truth. Understanding the difference will become easier as you become more logical.
lmao i mean as someone that lives in those witchy circles, 90% of them are just doing folk magic and paganism with goth girl characteristics. they arent like engaged in deep study with the Western esoteric tradition. the only barriers to the secrets is discipline and intelligence, which are honestly the only barriers that SHOULD exist. but they are surprisingly effective.
thats why, if you take a tarot girly and ask her what a sephiroth is, shes gonna talk about final fantasy and not qabalah. yeah, information is out there, drowned in a sea of noise, and few are really serious about engaging with it.
