Best loadout for a returning player to use while getting used to the game again?

I haven't played factions in a long time and normally play on PC so the controller takes some getting used to. Anyway once I am used to it I perform pretty well, usually using thehunting rifle. What loadout would you guys suggest using to ease back into the game and slowly regain the game sense and situational awareness that I once had? Thanks. :)
