After the successful raid, Hassan personally delivered the lost cattle back to the Ogaden clans it was stolen from. He then called for them to join him, to drive out the heathens that seek to destroy their very way of life, that he was able to recover what they had lost with only a handful of troops, and to imagine what they could do with the entirety of the Ogaden clan behind them, they could drive all the heathens from the Somali lands, for them to be united and strong, not divided and slowly swept away by the sands of time. He has called for the heads of the Ogaden clans to swear fealty to him, promising to marry a prominent chiefs daughter to help secure their loyalty to him.

At the same time, Hassan has sent an emissary to Sultan Osman Ahmed of the Geledi Sultanate, offering support from the Ogaden clans to help enforce his will upon the vassals of his Sultanate, should Osman swear fealty to Hassan to help free all the Somali peoples from the yoke of the western imperialists.
