2 Control Points at the same time doesn't work?

A buddy and I are trying to complete the seasonal stuff and we though hey, why not split up and take 2 control points at the same time.
Well, I cleared mine, and he cleared his, but we only got seasonal credit for clearing one. Now, we can't clear the one that the other cleared because its already friendly. The one I cleared is showing it needs to be cleared on his map, but its friendly, and vice versa for me.
Are we screwed?
