Hardcore players, some build suggestions, please.

Recently been playing a Hardcore character (yes I'm stupid, yes I hate myself) and wondering what some players have had success with in terms of build and gear.
I just hit WT1 last night and doing this mostly for the "Get a Hardcore agent to 500GS" commendation but may take it further. I was thinking I'd have the most success and least troubles with a tank build.
I know reviver hive is a must.
Any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated!
