I'm a fairly casual player. I play a good 3-4 hours a night, at least 3-4 nights a week, sure. But compared to many people here, I'm a casual player - I only play solo or with my 2 friends (though a third just got the game), I've never beaten a Challenge mode mission, and I haven't beaten the Incursion. I'm playing a ridiculous 100k/30k/30k build with my Liberator.
I love this subreddit for its informative posts about patch notes, how stats work, build ideas, and great stories from other players. I also love knowing what everyone is supposed to be bitching about this week, so I'm ready with the latest gossip and scandal when my friends log in to play.
But most of all, what I love about this subreddit is how many people it's making leave the game. All the salt and whining posts are having a noticeable negative effect on the (sizable) portion of the community that is eager to find something to moan and complain about. And all those people are playing less and less of the game.
And you know what that means for me?
Less people in the Dark Zone! It's pretty great, I have to admit. Today I was able to grab 4 supply drops, runs circuits to all the landmarks, Div.Tech, and locked chest locations to grab everything on respawn, and I ran into all of about 4 people the whole night. I'm looking forward to playing even more Monday night, when my friends will be on - hopefully we can have the same experience.
So thanks, r/TheDivision. You guys are the best.
