I get where you're all coming from, and the fear of having the characters we've sunk thousands of hours into made obsolete would be a bit concerning.

But let's look at it reasonably, we were supposed to lose this game after "End of watch", but we didn't, we said we loved this game, and it got revived. And we've been getting more content for the game we all love since then with 6 whole manhunts and an ever evolving story across multiple media forms. Every new season we've been shown some new mechanics, big or small, and seasonal characters is a chance for that to go even further.

My interpretation of the plan is that each week we'll be given a new set of activities in the form of a scouting mission, like we've been getting once a month. These scouting missions will be done with our seasonal characters, a character with reasonable power levels, that can be altered even more for both lore and challenge (creating a smoother, more enjoyable gameplay experience). However, since seasonal characters are being added as an additional slot, you'll still be able to play your main character(s) throughout the season, just not on the weekly scouting missions (to prevent you blowing through them with ease).

Some well meaning feedback to the devs that worked hard on the game is a great idea so they know what we want to play, but all this hate isn't going to help anyone. If anything, overwhelming hate might be enough to convince ubi to abandon the division and stop putting money into it, we all know that's a possibility. All I'm asking as a long time member of the community is that we keep it constructive, and keep our minds open. Poor communication, or poor ideas aside, hate without goals is just going to make it harder for the real feedback to get through.
