I genuinely think a Sandinista which is only 30 tracks long, 5 tracks on 6 sides, would be a masterpiece. It’s still a triple album, just slightly shorter.

I’d get rid of the last 5 tracks (“Shepherd’s Delight”, “Career Opportunities”, “Version Pardner”, “Silicone On Sapphire”, “Living In Fame”) and “Mensforth Hill”. I feel they add nothing to the album. They’re just dub/backwards versions of songs, and one is kids singing. Having said that, I’d keep “One More Dub”, as I think that works, and it doesn’t hurt to have one dub version.

I’d keep the track listing as it is, just without those 6 songs.

I’ve made this post cuz I genuinely love this album. But the ending is so anticlimactic for such a long album. So it does need trimming, but without losing being a triple album. I see people saying about it being a single or double LP, which I just don’t feel like is in the spirit of the album. So I’d like to keep it a triple, but trim it slightly.

Also, I think people would view the album a lot more favourably without those 6 tracks. I feel like it would be viewed as almost as good as London Calling and be a masterpiece.
