You want to just scream at Murgen when after learning Catcher stole something Doj called the key, Murgen tells Thai Dei that the standard will get them through the gate and actually says "I have the key."

If that character had just slightly more intuition he could have put two and two together and prevented walking into the sleep trap ambush.

Even more infuriating, Doj's pointless secret keeping. Regular Taglians I could see having issues with people who came off the plain, but the Old Crew would not have betrayed the secret. He should have at least let Murgen know that Catcher had Plain access. Many of his tribe perished because his pointless reticence.
