One of my favorite things about listening to the Boys is getting a glimpse into their relationship. I love Barbara Ann on Beach Boys Party for that reason! But one thing I have become obsessed with is knowing who is saying what throughout the song. For example, who says “Al’s famous ashtray”? I’m guessing on the line. I just think knowing who says what would give a lot of meaning to the song, for me anyway. Does anyone know where I might be able to find this info? I know it’s a decisive song but it’s in my top ten for sure! It always puts a smile on my face picturing them in the studio together.
Pretty certain it’s Hal Blaine as someone mentioned before.
As far as I know, our Al would never touch a cigarette as he takes good care of his teeth….and feet!
