Failed on my first try. Trying again with a modified goal.

Hi all,

My first goal was "20 minutes of housework a day". I failed pretty hard: several instances of 2 or 3 days in a row without an X, and sometimes I would give myself half an X for doing little things that I didn't originally intend to be part of "housework".

My biggest issue is coming home from work, eating dinner in front of the TV and then not moving from the couch until bed. I keep tricking myself into thinking I'll turn the TV off after I'm done eating, or after 1 episode of whatever, but I never do. Clearly, I have to go about this a different way.

So I've decided to redefine the goal and try again. New goal is "Do something productive before TV". As part of this, I'm also eating dinner at the table without the TV, so after dinner is over I can do something productive before forfeiting the rest of the night.

Just started this yesterday, so here's hoping I can continue. Posting this for accountability.
