Group dynamics vs. Couple dynamics

I'm going to talk mostly about the new episode of the new season of Gen Q but we can broaden the discussion to talk about previous seasons too.

I noticed in this episode that there was few to none group dynamics. It's all about the couples: Bette and Tina. Shane and Tess. Sophie and Finley. Micah and Maribel, etc. etc. etc.

I would really like the show to explore lesbian friendship. Not every drama has to be about couples and love and cheating. I guess the earliest seasons of the L word did portray a lot of group dynamics and it was FUN.

What do you think?
