The lyricism conversation
Post Body

I agree with Marc wholeheartedly and I feel the point was going over Joe and Ish’s heads. I think the content of the lyrics and lyricism are 2 different things. I’d say lyricism is the flair of a rap not the substance. Clever punchlines, double entendres, mispronouncing or omitting words on purpose, rhyming words that aren’t in the average persons everyday vocabulary. In that regard someone like Jeezy may have substance but I’d agree he’s not very lyrical like say a Lil Wayne/ Lupe/ 3 stacks way. You can have both like with Lupe where he’s incredibly lyrical and has substance or just lyricism like Wayne.
