Multiplayer sucks

I was doing my second run at trying to get into Te awaroa and I finally got in spawned in checked out the nearby lake saw a guaranteed diamond and shot it dropped it like a rock it fell in the water and I went to grab it and it drifted to the others side I guess because when I got there it gave me the xp and money because this other player grabbed it and of course his name was gld bandit f**ing d*k
