Was Blanche and George’s marriage even that good?

Blanche’s whole character is based off her search for / fear of finding another true love. George was the only man she had ever met worth settling down for and remaining loyal to, but… he cheated and had a whole child with another woman?
And then she still mourned him as if this betrayal never happened?
Yes he had been long dead and I dont think he knew about the kid, but he still actively cheated. Are we to believe this was a one time thing?
