For those of you who are not aware, Matty has revealed some details on what will be happening after the release of ILIWYS. In his interview with Billboard, Matty briefly spoke about a side project that himself and George have been working on, its focus was specifically on dance music. Does this sound familiar? If you've recently discovered the band then you're probably unaware of what The 1975 did before The 1975. While still making music, Matty and George had a side project which focused on dance music. So when I originally saw Matty announce this during the interview, I initially thought "great, TalkHouse is making a comeback!" However, something didn't seem right... why would they not release the name of this side project when it already exists online? That's when I had a light-bulb moment. Just over a year ago, Matty retweeted an account called @ThingsByQueer. It's been inactive since February 2015 but I knew that would become relevant to the band at some point in the future. This is the side project: Queer.
