Forgive me The 1975 Fathers for I have sinned. Back when the first singles of this, namely Give Yourself a Try, and others came out I just couldn’t get into it. I loved the first two albums and most recently Being Funny in a Foreign Language (I skipped albums 3 & 4), but I just didn’t care for the sound or direction at the time. Fast forward to today and taking a chance with a fresh perspective and set of ears on it, I actually really enjoy this album. I still don’t care for the comparison in media to “a millennial version/answer of OK Computer by Radiohead”… which is such an overrated album to me (I know, castrate me… maybe I need to revisit that one too), but I can appreciate it more now.
