Thanksgiving with strangers

I recently moved across the US for work. No friends/family in the same time zone and I'm not going to risk the airports so I'm all alone. Not the first time, so I'm used to it.
Now my coworker invited me to Thanksgiving, which is nice. But, it's her boyfriend's family's thanksgiving...
I've never met these people, they sound nice, but is it too odd?
If it was her family, then I wouldn't feel weird, but this her boyfriend's family, total strangers...
Should I go?
