Here’s what helps me:

Hello. 19 F here and like many I have struggled with my fear of death. I fear losing my family and friends and I fear my own death. Here’s a list of what has slowly helped me(these things do not work for everyone and I’m open to new ideas or anything helpful) What helps me are distractions. I’ll do a task and be anxious and think about death;however, slowly but surely my mind will be taken off of the topic.

-Coloring. I color with markers, crayons, or colored pencils. I also use gel pens and I’ve learned to shade and shadow pretty well in the adult coloring books. -Video Games -Sewing/Crocheting -Baking, (usually homemade bread or noodles, I love to make dough and work it with my hands) -Watch any upbeat, positive shows/movies -listen to relaxing asmr/meditation videos -watch spiritual/religious videos -make bracelets -puzzles -working out (this helps me so much!) I feel much more relaxed after working up a sweat or going for a walk -spending time outside/getting some vitamin D -being around other people ❤️ -rearranging my room/cleaning

So the list can go on and on. Also there’s other ways I look at death that make me feel a bit better. My uncle whom I love is absolutely fearless and loves to skydive (he has no fear of death at all 😂 I envy that) but I one time broke down crying and told him I didn’t want to lose my siblings one day and he told me ‘you don’t have to worry because at the end of the day when people pass away their body is just an empty shell. They’re still out there somewhere in the universe but it’s just a shell’. This relieved my anxiety for a bit and even though I am religious I do question life after death a lot. But I know that regardless i am going to be okay. We’re all here to be humans. That’s the point of life is to life it and to life it to the best of your ability. And then after that there is definitely a heaven or an afterlife for us to go to. In the meantime I have to remind myself to focus on today. It is difficult but it gets better. Again I’m open to any advice/insight/suggestions. I am nervous about the upcoming fall season (I LOVE Halloween though) because I do get seasonal depression and I become very paranoid and lonely. So I’m making sure I’m stocked up on coloring books, movies, and pie recipes ;)
