Post Body

I'm playing some capture the flag when suddenly some dude comes on. Normal. No one cares. We keep playing. He plays as usual. A minute or so into the game, he starts talking on mic. He has a squeaky voice, so he's probably a young kid, around 12 or 13 years old. He says normal things you would see in normal chat, like "Help me!" or other things. However, this pisses people off. Some move to the other team, some leave, and some vote to kick him.

I don't know if people know this, but there is a MUTE OPTION. Go to the god damn esc menu, press the button with a line crossing out an ear, and MUTE HIM. He does NOT need to leave. You do not need to hear him. Even more, he is insulted in the chat with lots of profanity. Very mature. The kid usually is kicked, or leaves. He stays if he's lucky, but is forced to shut up if he wants to play. The vote kick button is NOT a toy.

All I'm saying is please do not kick people if they are kids talking in a mic. Mute them if you are annoyed. This game is supposed to be fun for everyone. This annoys me most about this community.

EDIT: it has come to my attention that some people think muting him or her is not enough. Want to know how Valve can solve this? Vote mute. They can keep playing, but cannot use the mic function.
