Post Body

I recently moved into a new rental. My landlord has a no pets policy. I have 2 emotional support animals and they are protected under the HUD, and FHA. She immediately told me that I cannot have pets as soon as she received my accommodation letter from my psychiatrist. After explaining they are protected and they are not considered pets, she fired back saying that I need to find a new place to live. She said she will evict me and this is unlawful. So, I filed a complaint with the HUD and the state of Texas. Would there be any other steps I can do to protect myself? Guess I'm gonna need to find a lawyer. Landlords are such heartless, evil people, at the least the ones I have ever encountered.

Edit: removed ADA because I misread one line. But they are still protected under HUD & FHA.
