Hi everyone - I posted a while back regarding a 10 mm lung nodule that showed up on a post-chemo surveillance scan. My quick background - pure seminoma recurrence, mets to retroperitoneum and mesenteric nodes, finished TIP 9/2023, NED based on subsequent scans and tumor markers.
Both the radiologist and my oncologist felt the nodule was benign and scheduled a follow-up CT chest scan 6 weeks after. Just got those results and while the nodule hasn't grown, it now appears "slightly more consolidative / conspicuous" (radiologist's words).
We have a plan to deal with it - can't do a needle biopsy but looking into a bronchoscopy and/or wedge resection to get a sample and determine what's going on.
I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who's dealt with lung nodules post-chemo. Positive or negative. Did they disappear on subsequent scans as some apparently do? If you're monitoring, did your oncologist suggest any reason they would appear aside from mets?
Thanks all.
