I got TC when I was a preteen and never met anyone in real life who also had it. I have always wished I had a support system or at least another friend who had a similar experience.

About 2 years ago, I had an acquaintance who mentioned he had cancer and found out a few week later it was TC. This guy and I had lunch and I told him I also had it and he was really uncomfortable, and never spoke to me again.

I have another acquaintance who I just noticed follows and is followed by a TC online support group. Him and I don’t regularly talk. but I’d like to share with him I’m a survivor and see if he’ll share. I don’t know if he is, but can only assume because of social media that it’s a possibility. How should I bring it up as to not scare him off?
