It has already grown dark as you pull up to your driveway. After a long shoft at the noodle factory, your exhaustion aches in every fiber of your body. You sloggishly trudge up to your front door and with a small click you open the lock and step inside your small apartment.

Its rather simply furnished, with dull coloured walls and a somewhat dirty looking carpet that desperately needs a deep cleaning. The walls are mostly barren, the neverending beige occasionally broken by a clumsily placed poster or a window in need of some Windex. Nevertheless, it is home and you gratefully collapse on to your couch. After a few moments to relax you idly reach for your remote and bring the TV screen to life.

'Hi, Willy Hays here with Sha-' click 'Hello, My name is PotAto 248 and this is After Tug Recession, the only gameshow that-' click You flick though the channels with the disinterested expression rememniscant of a young millennial listening to someone wealthy complaining about their taxes as you seek some form of entertainment. Surely your avsolution from your dreary, monotonous daily life must be somewhere. click

'And our lord and savior did say upon the 28th day of the month "I grant thee, my fair children, a power incomparable with that many of you know"' You sit up strait, oddly mesermized by what appears to be a Television Prayer show. 'And so it was prophesied that upon the 28th day, all the faithful and dutiful will recieve a great opportunity! Ramen, I say! Ramen!'

The screen pans over to the gathered congregation. Their hands are raised towards the heavens, their eyes closed in the ecstasy of the RNG Spirit. 'Ramen!' They echo in singsong voices, overtaken with the mood. You can't look away, no matter how silly it seems to you. They all look so happy.

'Who was it who stood against the forces of darkness, who was it who brought forth the light of the rainbow stars from the sky?! Ramen, I say. Ramen!'

'RAMEN!' Comes the echo from the crowd, right on queue.

'Who was it that brought us the holy trinity of Chainers?! Who was it that gave us his only Daughter, Lightning, so that we. Would. Have. The Sixth Star! Knowing fully well that she would be quickly condemned by all as a false pick. HE gave us his only daughter. HIS ONLY DAUGHTER because he loves us so. Ramen I say to you all. Ramen to pur lord RNGesus!'

'RAMEN!!' The crowd has gotten louder now, people writhing in the holy rapture of the sermon. There is jubilation abound as the screen flashes back to the preacher.

'And, as was fortold in the great book of "Jay-Pey Version" he gives to us his most beloved son. For what else could save us from the burning heat of the Dual Wield sun but the cover of Clouds! RAMEN, my friends. RAMEN! Praise be to our lord RNGesus, praise be to Cloud, and praise be to the great rainbows from the sky!'

A woman in the front row is crying, her large yellow hat shaking as sobs wrack her body. Another person, a man this time, is clutching what appears to be a giant pillow with a video game character to his chest as his closed eyes are raised upwards and he mouths silent words to himself.

You can't help yourself. A surge of faith and companionship and Grace overwhelms you, filling ever bone in your body, every muscle, every nerve, every fiber of your being. You close your eyes, a lone tear falling down your check as you let out a breathy word, closer to a plea than anything else. It encases in itself all your hopes, dreams, frustrations, and regrets. It is all you have been, all you are, and all you will ever hope to become.
