I've never read much on Redguard lore before, but have begun to do so. I came across the Far Shores; "the afterlife sought by the Redguards". As far as I can tell, it's mostly pretty standard for an afterlife belonging to a warrior culture: there's no hunger, no thirst, but plenty of fighting to be done if so desired. The part that stood out to me, was that "Here, the spirits can safely wait until Satakal has passed and a new worldskin has emerged".
To me, this sounds a whole lot like whichever spirit there will be sheltered and survive the passing into a new Kalpa, as Satakal is often associated with Alduin (and oftentimes even seen as the same entity), and worldskin seems to scream Kalpa. Considering most et'Ada and other spirits supposedly either cease to exist or are changed fundamentally when the time for a new Kalpa comes; isn't this a huge advantage?
I'm not exactly an expert on lore pertaining to Kalpas, Dragon Breaks and TES cosmology, but I've never heard of any other plane of Aetherius being capable of doing this. It seriously makes me consider Redguards (or those who make it there, anyway) to be the most fortunate race of men in the whole of Tamriel. Could anybody shed some light on whether this is indeed how it works? Thanks!
