I just had a strange observation and I don't know if there's anything to it, but it seems mer societies are more likely to worship deadra for some reason.
Like with the exception of the barbaric reachmen (who are part elves btw) I can't really think of any nedic societies where daedra worship wouldn't be completely outlawed and marginal with only small sects serving daedra. And yet it seems much more common among mer races:
For starters there is the main daedra worshipers of Tamriel - the dunmer. There used to be another big daedra worshipping mer race - Ayleids. Orsimers worship Malacath. If I understand correctly Hircine and Herma-Moras cults are common amongst wood elves. There are even theories that Thalmor are secretly daedra worshipers and that they had something to do with the oblivion crysis. And as a cherry on top, the leader of the most dangerous daedric cult in history - The Mythic Dawn - was an elve, oh and also Mannimarco who was behind the Molag Bal invasion in the second era.
Just a coincidence? Or am I missing something?
