I don't get your point.. He's not advocating the other car shouldn't exist just that Tesla isn't making the decision to do so. Magnums fit some people so we should expect anyone who makes a gun to have to make a magnum?
I mean I guess that's one way of looking at it but I didn't get that feeling from what he said. I think what he said that 300-400 is more range than most will need, which I believe is true, is something that a lot of people that don't know about EVs still don't understand and needs to be said.
If they can not meet the demand then how would it make sense from a business perspective? Would it sell? definitely. Is it a good business decision right now? no.
I think we agree on things for the most part and I think they will increase the range over time like they have been doing I just don't see why they have to have that option right now.
The fact is the average driver doesn't drive that much daily and they would rather see two model 3's sold than one really expensive super long range model.
So if it doesn't make sense from a business stand point and most customers are happy then why do you think they should at least sell them?

Sure but that doesn't mean tesla has to be the one to provide that huge range so again I don't get your point.
