Rumor from @Teslascope and @SawyerMerritt: Tesla has been working on their own “App Store” since around May 2021 and will launch before deliveries of the Cybertruck. This is what we expected to be shared during the earnings call, although @elonmusk did share this would be the year of “software”.

I imagine they would be developing this for when they achieve FSD and can use the screen for media and such. Could be awesome and pretty profitable for Tesla

I mean certainly you are free to think that and only time will tell. But Tesla is pushing towards that so it’s reasonable to assume they are also designing products for said future.

Well yeah I wasn’t trying to say that was the only reason so sorry if it came off that way just that I think that is when it will be most profitable. Also not everyone likes to take naps so it is reasonable to assume that with a giant screen and nothing to do for 30 minutes everyday you might find some cool apps 🤷🏻♂️
